I’ve always said I’m not keen on making small dainty jewellery, might be pushing the limit with this one!
– However, I’m certain that if you make a necklace like this fit the wearer perfectly it will feel comfortable. Maybe not for a sprinter, and a hurdler would definitely have sore shins but for an elegant lady of leisure at a delicate soirée – assuming the Prodigy aren’t invited! I reckon I can make it feel… Good.
Obviously it won’t feel like she has nothing on and nor should it! The sensation of weight should serve to remind her she is wearing something very special. Sculpting the metal to accommodate the particular shape of collar bones, shoulders and chest will make or break this necklace, if you’re going to the effort of making something like this it has to be right – you don’t want her to wear it once then report she would rather have done the hurdles!
Not even sure I’ll complete this experiment, still in its infancy……

….Edit 11/02/2016:
I’m horrified that I still haven’t had the balls to complete this necklace yet!
…Edit 29/01/2017:
Still horrified!… Still waiting for the right inspiration to come along and make me finish this…

Oh, the HORROR! …I’m still working on it, in my mind…
